Currently, the poker room is running close to 2,000 online satellites through which players can enter the Contender and Championship Series. The satellites will also allow players to participate in the Kick Off Event to the tournament series, which will be held on 4th March.

Guaranteed Prize Pool of $750,000 to be Won in Both Series

Winners of both the Contender and Championship Series will get paid from a guaranteed prize pool of $750,000. More than $100,000 will be offered as guaranteed rewards in the Contender Series. Tournaments in the low to mid-stakes range will feature in the series. The main event, to be held on 18th March, will come with guaranteed $25,000.

The Championship Series will offer over $600,000 in guaranteed prizes. The events will be in the mid to high stakes range. On 1st April, the main event to the series will be held. The final tablers will get to play for a prize pool of $250,000. The winner of the main event will be given an engraved Championship Watch and $50,000 (guaranteed).

Players who have not qualified for the main events to the Contender and Championship Series will get to try for a seat to the final tables by playing the Super Sunday Satellite Days. The satellites will be conducted a day before the Main Event of each series. The Contender Main Event qualifier will be held on 17th March and the Championship Main Event, on 31st March.

Qualifying Steps for the Poker Open

Qualifying for the poker open is quite easy. Buy-ins to the satellites for both series start at $1. Bovada Poker runs two events every day for each of the two series. The events also include main event qualifiers and second chance events.

The poker room permits players to choose from the poker variants it offers, like Seven Card and Texas Hold’em. Players will also get to select the format of the poker game they play. Some of the formats at the site are Guaranteeds, Rebuys, Shootouts and Knockouts. 6 max, PLHE turbo, heads up turbo and hyper turbo games will also be featured in the series.

The Contender Series will take place between 5th and 18th March, and the Championship Series, between 19th March and 1st April. Including the events of both series, there will be a total of 52. At Bovada Poker, players can buy-in directly to these events in case they don’t want to enter through the qualifier satellites, which will be conducted till 1st April.
